Magic system
Different cultures would classify magic in different ways, this system is just a basic, relatively “hard magic” base to work off of for your worldbuilding.
Magic has replaced the role of gunpowder technology, for now at least.
Science and technology exist alongside magic.
Yes, apart from research entries, you could run your roleplay campaigns in the 2C world and completely ignore this system.

Created objects have to be non-magical, material objects. This requires a lot of magic
Summons consume magic over time until the spell ends, when the spell ends the summon disappears from the physical world.
Enchantment magic has the limitation that the caster must be touching the object with their body, or object they use to cast with.
Mysticism magic has the limitation that the caster must be in meditation or in some other state of mind, depending on the culture.
Types of magic
Manipulation
Manipulation magic can control living or non-living things of the physical world.
Manipulation magic has limitations on how far away the object can be, its mass, and its composition.
This magic type includes:
- Telekinesis
- Heal a wound
- Purify water
Conjuration
Conjuration magic can create non-magical, material objects, and summon objects or living beings from another dimension for a limited time.
Conjuration magic has the limitation that created objects have to be non-magical, material objects, this requires a lot of magic. Summons consume magic over time until the spell ends, when the spell ends the summon disappears from the physical world.
This magic type includes:
- Summon familiar from another dimension for a limited time
- Magic wall
- Create apparition (i.e: illusions)
- Create a light source (or illumination if you prefer)
- RINT10 “Wizard squads: Adepts of the New Power are trained and included in the army structure. +1 in wars”
- RINTR14 “Weaponized god powers: The best wizards in the country try to use the powers of the Exiled God to bring monsters and destruction into the enemy's ranks from their imagination or other dimensions… +1 in wars.” ???
Enchantment
Enchantment magic has the ability to increase the magical abilities of a living being or object. Enchantment magic has the limitation that the caster must be touching the object with their body, or object they use to cast with.
This magic type includes:
- Bless
- Curse
- Lycanthropy
- Enchant a common object (magic sword, a bracelet that protects from magic etc.)
- Alchemy [tbd]
- RINTR12 “Magic weapons: Special artifacts found around the world are employed during wars. +1 roll in wars.”
Mysticism
Mysticism magic contains the abilities of insight into hidden truths of the world and communication with higher powers and animals.
Mysticism magic has the limitation that the caster must be in meditation or in some other state of mind, depending on the culture.
This magic type includes:
- Water divination
- Detect magic
- Scry
- Tame wild animal
- Telepathy
